During the weekend, we were at Commisioning in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Here the SMT Central and CAST teams had a discussion over how the officers who led a congregation, always had to attempt to conduct the congregations.
The problem is that most officers haven't had the propper musical training to conduct, and so instead of conducting
like is the norm, they just conduct, Up, Down, Up, Down, Up, Down.....
This started to get a little annoying for the musicaly orientated SMT'ers, and when we experienced it during worship songs like this one:
it prompted the response: "You can't just Yo-Yo the Holy Spirit around", and thus a nominee for the phrase of the Summer was uttered.
